Over the course of numerous guest lectures and workshops, I have developed a philosophy focused on evidence-based instruction delivered in an equitable and inclusive manner. To ensure my instruction is evidence-based, I prioritize frequent active student responding through live online polling, embedding video examples and practice-based activities throughout lectures. To ensure my instruction is also equitable and inclusive, I prioritize clear assessment policies and procedures, diverse everyday examples and applications of concepts, and frequent opportunities for anonymous student feedback.Â
I look forward to refining and iterating upon this philosophy as I advance in my PhD program and become an instructor of record.
